ServiceBlocks initiative / Bokku

Everyday shopping. A tap closer.

A familiar grocery store should feel just as convenient on your phone. We saw the opportunity, then designed and developed a Bokku mobile app to connect the journey from choosing a store to receiving an order.

The gap we saw

A neighbourhood staple. Room for a mobile experience.

Grocery shopping is a routine people repeat. Our starting question was simple: how could someone plan that shop, see what a store offers, and place an order without making the whole trip first?

We saw an opportunity to bring those decisions into one app: which store to use, what to buy, how to receive it, and what happens after payment.

That question became a ServiceBlocks product initiative. We took it through product thinking, interface design and mobile development, building the shopping journey you see here.

01 / Context

A store comes first.

Keep the catalogue and availability tied to the store the shopper selects.

02 / Convenience

The shopper chooses.

Bring browsing, basket management, pickup and delivery into a connected flow.

03 / Clarity

Keep the order visible.

Give the shopper a place to check progress and revisit previous orders.

04

Follow every step

Keep payment, preparation, dispatch and delivery updates together, with active and previous orders in one place.

Beyond the screens

The details that make a shopping flow work.

The basket is only part of the product. Account access, payment states and order history help the experience hold together from one visit to the next.

From opportunity to product

We saw a practical gap. Then built a way through it.

Bokku shows how we approach a product opportunity: start with a familiar task, work through the decisions people need to make, then design and develop the software around that journey.
